Journal Club

If you find yourself intimidated by jargon-riddled scientific articles — or even if you’ve never read a paper before — come to a Journal Club meeting! We hold a student-led discussion of a scientific paper every other week.

As a group, we break down each article by converting high-level terminology and techniques into layman’s terms. Our goal is to foster a fun, welcoming community to improve our scientific literacy and meet other science-loving people.

What do we read?

We change topics every week, and we try to align our readings with current events. Staying up to date with CRISPR, the Wuhan coronavirus, and other emerging news is vital to a successful career in science.
